Acquisition expands McGraw Hill’s position as a leading provider of trusted medical learning resources to students and professionals

COLUMBUS, Ohio (December 6, 2022) – McGraw Hill today announced that it has acquired Ryan Medical Education LLC, d/b/a Boards & Beyond, a provider of on-demand video libraries and comprehensive online resources that help medical students efficiently learn fundamentals of medical basic sciences and clinical medicine.

The acquisition expands McGraw Hill’s digital capabilities and deep presence in the medical education sector, supplementing the company’s authoritative, trusted content and powerful digital platforms with Boards & Beyond’s dynamic, video-driven instruction and high-quality assessment content.

Medical students and professionals already rely on McGraw Hill for learning content throughout their education journeys and careers. McGraw Hill resources like Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine and its AccessMedicine digital subscription services are used by millions of clinicians worldwide.

Customers will continue to be able to purchase B&B products as described on the B&B website.

Will terms of current contracts stay the same?

Customers will continue to use their existing B&B subscription under their existing subscription agreement.

How will MH use the personal information collected by B&B?

MH will protect the personal information collected by B&B with the same rigorous standards it has in place for all MH products. Use of B&B personal information will be limited to the purpose for which it was originally collected, for example: customer information will be used to communicate with customers specifically about B&B, and end user information will be used to provide and maintain the B&B service for subscribers. Both customers and end users may be provided with the opportunity to opt into communications from McGraw Hill to learn about the exciting array of MH services.

For B&B products that are already implemented, will the type, or level of support be affected in any way?

MH's capability and scale in customer support will provide existing B&B customers with access to simplified and enhanced support opportunities, including training faculty how to use this tool to supplement curriculum and to help students improve performance.

Do we need to sign an agreement or contract with McGraw Hill?

Customers will continue to use their existing B&B subscription under their existing subscription agreement.

Will McGraw Hill be changing the pricing for Boards & Beyond products?

Pricing will be as listed on the B&B website and upon inquiry. Existing customers will renew their subscription at their agreed renewal subscription price.

Will Boards & Beyond products integrate with McGraw Hill products?

B&B will continue to be delivered as currently provided. You will be able to continue to access the exceptional video resources in the customary manner.
