Howard M. Guttman is founder and principal of Guttman Development Strategies, Inc. (GDS), a management consulting firm specializing in building high-performance teams, executive coaching, strategic and organizational alignment, and project implementation. GDS was ranked #11 among Leadership Development consulting firms by Leadership Excellence, which also named Guttman to its list of “Excellence 100 Top Thought Leaders.”
Formerly, Guttman was Director of Human Resources at Johnson & Johnson and Senior Organization Development Consultant responsible for internal consulting and executive training at ADP. He holds an M.S. from Case Western, and has been a professor of organization behavior and management consulting at the Graduate School of Management of Rutgers University and an adjunct professor of behavioral consulting at Fairleigh Dickinson University's Graduate School of Psychology.
Guttman's book Great Business Teams: Cracking the Code for Standout Performance (Wiley, 2008), was named one of the Top 30 Business Books of 2008 by Soundview Executive Book Summaries. He is also the author of When Goliaths Clash: Managing Executive Conflict to Build a More Dynamic Organization (Amacom, 2003).
